 LRY Educational Consulting was birth out of 16 years teaching experience. The founder and CEO, Lakeisha Young, is a teacher's teacher. With a Bachelors Degree in English, Masters Degree in Teaching and Masters Degree in Educational Administration, she brings 16 years of combined teaching and Educational leadership that has produced teacher and student success for almost two decades.

 

Ms. Young holds teaching credentials for grade levels 6-12 in Mississippi, Texas and Illinois with teaching experience in math, and English Language arts and English Language Learners from 6-12 grade and the freshman level of college as an English Instructor. She has used best practices that have resulted in high student performances in all three states which include multiple districts and campuses in the state of Texas's largest school district, Houston Independent School District. Her latest student success comes from Chicago Public Schools in Chicago, IL. Both of these school districts are low -income, Title I districts and are the 2nd and 3rd largest school districts in the United States of America. 

Because of the array of teaching experiences, Ms. Young has been able to see what achievement gaps are missing and put best practices in place for the teachers and the students to ensure that all students are truly college and career ready upon leaving high school.

 

For over 10 years of her career, Lakeisha has been designing and delivering professional developments on various subjects that have been practical, entertaining and supportive to the teachers and educational leaders that she has worked with and worked for over the years. With expertise in curriculum building/mapping, team building and student efficacy, she is well equipped and experienced to create and deliver professional developments and supplemental resources to help your campus and district needs.
